Chapel Kids Parenting Pod

Updated: Oct 25, 2022

Chapel Kids never stands still and 2022 is no exception. We've embarked on an online adventure this term, starting up a parenting pod on the ChangeX website, and sharing and exploring top tips on the Easy Peasy Parenting App.

Here's the link to our pod if you would like to join the conversation with local parents: https://www.changex.org/gb/easypeasy-pods/ash-vale-uk-surrey what are your best parenting hacks?

The great thing about doing this project with Chapel Kids, is that we get to try out all the best ideas together at Chapel Kids toddler group on Wednesdays (come and join us at 11am!) and compare notes on things we have tried at home. (And thanks to the funding provided by the changeX scheme we will be able to put the heating on from next week too!)

What happens at ChapelKids? We start with play and a cupppa, crafts and sensory fun 11:00-12:00, then have Lunch Club together, and then for the last hour or so we have a story and songs for the children and a parenting pod chat for the grownups, sharing ideas, top tips and thoughts, finishing at 2pm.

In the summer we spend lots of time outside, planting edibles and learning about home grown food and plants for pollinators. We love our community garden and are super grateful to the New Way Christian Life Fellowship team who do so much to keep it tidy!

You're welcome to pop in to Chapel Kids with your little ones and join us for any or all of this. We are open 11:00-14:00. See you soon! Let's talk play and parenting inspiration - online or in person!
