Community Fridge in Progress!

We have been very busy setting up a new Community Fridge Project this year, to cut out even more food waste, and feed more people. We hope to officially open very soon. The latest task was adding the electrics and Patrick here had a very fiddly job sorting it all out safely and tidily yesterday! Huge thanks to all the many helpers, including Viv, Jeff, Steve and Alun, who have already been working super hard sorting out paperwork, creating the (movable) shed base, putting it up, making adjustments to make it work... Watch this space for the official launch once the fridge is up and running.

In the meantime, if you are suffering food poverty and need help please know that you can get a food parcel from the local Food Parcels Project if you live locally. Referrals can be made by the local churches, CAB, social services, DWP, schools etc.

If you are in the happy position to be able to help, the team uses the "Bank the food" App to let everyone know what is most needed this week, or simply drop off any donations in the shed (Or text us to arrange a drop off) and the team will send them out in the next parcels. Thank you!

We always rely on our community funding & food partners to make the good stuff happen - huge thanks to them for all their help! Thank you to Co-op, Hubbub and all our local supporters. #AshValeChapel #ItsWhatWeDo #AshCoop #AshValeCoop

If you would like to donate food items for the fridge, watch this space and we will celebrate when we switch it on! Funds can be donated here to help keep the Chapel Project open for the community and power the new Community Fridge. https://givealittle.co/campaigns/8d80cd98-df9f-494e-9808-b8898744146f
