Net Zero - We need Windows!

We started our Net Zero journey at The Chapel with the simple stuff - moving to a green energy tarriff, turning down the heating, installing a compost heap for garden waste, implementing a Community Fridge (Thank you Hubbub!), planting some fruit trees (thank you Co-Op Community fund!) ... I'm sure you have seen the previous posts on this! It's been a great way to reduce our carbon footprint and do our bit for the planet... but we know we need to do more.

The next step for us is to make sure we don't waste the heating we use, so we are now looking at options for double glazing the windows. It's early days, and the project is just being investigated and costed, but the fundrasing starts today! If you would like to chip in to the Chapel Fabric Fund to help us with all our building improvements the link is here: https://givealittle.co/c/506zJ4CysgBvk5OPRjRZLF Please Gift Aid if you can, and you can choose how much you give. You can even decide whether you prefer a one-off donation or a regular monthly amount so you can keep helping as the projects progress.

Part of being an Eco-church is raising the profile of eco-projects generally. Have you insulated your house, changed your windows or improved your carbon footprint in other ways recently? We would love to hear from you! Why not share your updates in the comments on Facebook? @AshValeChapel (And if you're looking for a 'refer a friend' discount link for green energy do get in touch, we have been sent one by our supplier!)

Thank you for your support, and see you soon at the Chapel!

With our best wishes and thanks from all the team.
