#CommunityChefs #CookingSchool - Fish Cakes and Coleslaw The community cooks projects is now in full swing and Rev Neil showed us via a zoom cook-along lesson how to make fish cakes and coleslaw this week, as well as teaching some handy kitchen techniques. Everyone had fun chopping, zesting, juicing, mashing and grating, and the fish cakes & coleslaw we finished up with were delicious! Now we can all make our own home made dinners, cheaper and healthier than a shop bought option. A bit about the project: The Tesco Community Cookery School was launched in 2019, in partnership with Jamie Oliver and FareShare, to help community groups by offering training and advice on how to prepare nutritionally balanced meals using surplus food donations to avoid food going to waste.
