Please help our Foodbank today!
We don’t often lead with an ask. But today please help keep our neighbours fed. Our amazing local foodbank volunteers at the Ash Villages Food Parcels Project do a simply awesome job. Unfortunately our project has just been turned down for lottery funding this year because they have had so much demand and couldn’t fund everyone. This is funding we rely on to help buy the tins and other items that go in the parcels. We have a big hole in the budget now, and we need to find £1700 a month from somewhere else. So, we need our local community more than ever! If you can commit to a regular donation – if we had 100 people giving £20 a month, we would more than cover the gap! Is this you? If you can help us (it doesnt have to be £20 you can name your own amount) every donation will be a huge help, and keep people fed this winter.

Donate tins of food at St Mary’s: We have a donations box at St Mary’s in the foyer. (open all year round, special harvest festival appeal on 11th October 2026)
Donate food at The Chapel: The foodbank team are in on Tuesday 8:30-9:30pm / Wednesday 8:30-9:30am / Thursday 7pm-9pm / Friday 8:30-9:30am or pop a tin in whenever we are open for cafe, toddlers etc.

Nominate us for funding: Does your bank / building society / company have a scheme where you can nominate a charity? Please nominate The PCC of St Mary’s Ash Vale (charity number 1152717) and you can specify the foodbank project so the money goes to this ringfenced project.
Help us to fundraise! Can you donate for our Christmas tombola? Do a sponsored event? Donate your unwanted christmas gifts to our next raffle? Ask your book club, scouts, sports team or other club to donate us some tins? Every item is a help, we really appreciate your support.

We have an awesome group of volunteers who collect and sort donations, check and count stock, clean fridges, take phone calls, pack parcels and deliver.
