Thank you YFS for the new Chapel door!

If you’ve been to the Chapel lately you will have noticed our beautiful new front door. What do you think? We absolutely love it!

As part of our journey to net zero, and to make sure we can always offer a Warm Welcome, the Chapel Team is working hard to minimise drafts, make the building energy efficient and keep making the place future proof, step by step each year. Imagine our delight when Cllr Carla Morson agreed to help support our application to the YFS small projects fund, so that we could replace the drafty old front door.

Those of you who have been following our Net Zero story will already know what an excellent job Trueglaze in Frimley did on the windows. The door was even more of a challenge - notice the beautiful Gothic arch design - but they delivered a beautiful new door that fits perfectly and looks absolutely stunning.

Chapel users have all been commenting on the lovely door, and the amazing difference it makes to keeping the Chapel warm in the winter too. The foodbank team in the picture were delighted with the change, and our ChapelKids toddler group and Monday Cafe visitors have all commented on what a game changer it is, having a snugly fitting, double glazed front door.

Huge thanks to Cllr Carla Morson, and to the Your Fund Surrey team who do such an amazing job making dreams a reality in our community. It really does make all the difference. Thank you!
