Bug Hotel Project: As part of Picnic and Play 2026 we have a fabulous project planned to build a large bug hotel, at The Chapel on Wharf Rd, with the help of a wonderful visitor from the Wellesley Woodland team. We need please: moss, lichen, straw, bamboo, bricks with holes in, sticks, twigs, and your kiddos to help put it together! This will be a wonderful addition to the Chapel Garden helping beneficial mini-beasts to thrive.
We also need bug-hunting kits! Do you have a magnifyng glass, a pooter, binoculars, books with pictures of insects? We would love to help the children explore the bugs once the hotel is built! We will be making up the bags ourselves, fabric pens welcomed if anyone has some sat unused in a drawer? Thank you!
